KKR beat RCB by six wickets in IPL clash

Bangalore, Apr 30 (IBNS): Kolkata Knight Riders came back strong after defeat as the visitors defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in a crucial Indian Premier League match here on Sunday.

After RCB posted 175 runs for the loss of four wickets, KKR batsmen came down into the park with a purpose and reached 176 runs by losing four wickets in 19.1 overs.

Chris Lynn was the man of the moment for KKR as he added 62 runs with his willow that helped the side make a strong start to the run chase.

Lynn hammered seven boundaries and a six in his 52-ball knock.

West Indian Sunil Narine, who opened the batting for KKR, also added 27 quick runs that helped KKR make a 59 runs opening stand.

Narine hammered three boundaries and a six in his knock.

Robin Uthappa contributed 36 runs.

Skipper Dinesh Karthik played another quick-fire knock of 10-ball 23 runs at the end which ensured a victory for his team.

Mohammed Siraj and

Murugan Ashwin picked up two wickets each for RCB.

Earlier, RCB skipper Virat Kohli smashed 68 runs and Brendon  McCullum added 38 runs which helped his side post competitive 174 runs on the scorecard.

Kohli hit five boundaries and three sixes in his 44-ball knock.
