KKR smash 247 at Eden Gardens in run-fest thriller, crush Gujarat Titans by 29 Runs to stay alive in playoff race!

Kolkata/IBNS: The IPL playoff race remains wide open after Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Gujarat Titans by 29 runs in a must-win clash at Eden Gardens on Saturday.

Sunil Narine starred with the ball, returning figures of 2/29 in four overs as KKR restricted GT to 218/4 in 20 overs.

Despite a blazing knock from GT skipper Shubman Gill, who scored 85 off 49 balls with 5 fours and 7 sixes, the visitors fell short in their chase.

Earlier, Finn Allen powered KKR’s innings with a scintillating 93, helping them post a commanding 247/2 in 20 overs.

Allen smashed 4 fours and 10 sixes, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi remained unbeaten on 82 off 44 balls, hitting 4 fours and 7 sixes.

He was well supported by Cameron Green, who added an unbeaten 52 as KKR closed at a massive total.

With the win, KKR keep their playoff hopes alive.
