Kolkata: Pink Ball Test begins today, PM Sheikh Hasina, CM Mamata Banerjee to attend

Kolkata/IBNS: Kolkata has turned Pink as the iconic 'Pink Ball' Test between India and Bangladesh will be played in the city's Eden Gardens Stadium on Friday.

The match is crucial as it is the first-ever Pink Ball Test to be played by India.
 
Eden will witness the country's first Day-Night event from Friday.
 
Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina will attend the match.
 
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will also attend the opening day of the match.
 
Ahead of the start of the game,  Sheikh Hasina and Mamata Banerjee will ring the Eden bell.  
Meanwhile, BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly expressed his excitement over the event and tweeted: "Well @bcci  and @cab  ... look forward to 5 days
@JayShah."  
 
Meanwhile, reflecting the excitement around the Test match, several landmark buildings in Kolkata, have been lit by pink lights to mark the occasion.
 
Several sweet makers in the city have also made special pink couloured sweets to mark the event.
 
Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha tweeted: "Ready for the Pink Test Match! Proud of how my city has decked up to welcome this historic test match. @SGanguly99 @BCCI #Kolkata."
