KP signs with Melbourne Stars
When asked about his decision to play for Melbourne’s favourite BBL Club, Pietersen was quoted as saying by the club wensite: “Joining the Melbourne Stars was an easy choice for me when you look at the players we have and the amazing off field support staff, and don’t forget our home ground, the MCG.”
Head Coach Greg Shipperd said: “We are delighted to have Kevin as a Melbourne Star. He’s a proven competitor and I am confident that he will revel in the fiercely competitive atmosphere of the BBL and will be especially at home at the MCG in front of our loyal Members.”
Pietersen plays as a T20 specialist in several tournament these days since England made the decision not to select him again after the country suffered 5-0 defeat in Ashes earlier.
Pietersen was the skipper of the Delhi Daredevils side in the last held Indian Premier League (IPL).
