Melbourne Renegades signs Gayle

Melbourne, May 15 (IBNS) Melbourne Renegades has signed up West Indies opener Chris Gayle for the next Big Bash League.

"The former West Indies Test captain could form the league’s most devastating opening partnership with Renegades captain Aaron Finch," read the side's official website.

Gayle was quoted as saying by the website: "It’s exciting to be coming to the Melbourne Renegades in the sporting capital of Australia. I’m looking forward to seeing the fans, getting to know the city a little more and helping the team into the finals in BBL|05."

Gayle is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
