MI beat RCB by six wickets

Bangalore, May 11 (IBNS):Kieron Pollard (35*) and Jos Buttler (29*) added 55 runs in the fifth wicket partnership as they helped Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in an IPL match here on Wednesday.

Chasing Bangalore 151 for four, Mumbai batsmen fought till the last as they reached 153 runs by losing four wickets with 8 balls to spare.

Rohit Sharma (25) and Ambati Rayudu (44) earlier gave a strong start to the Mumbai side as they commenced their run chase even as the visitors lost the wicket of Parthiv Patel (1) early.

As the match was slowly slipping out from the grip of Mumbai, Pollard and Jos Buttler stepped up the gear to win the match.

Pollard hammered three boundaries ans two sixes in his knock while Buttler smashed three sixes to reach the winning total.

Indian pacer Varun Aaron picked up two wickets for RCB.

Earlier, Lokesh Rahul  hit 68 which helped MI post 151 runs on the scorecard.

He hit three boundaries and four sixes in his knock.
