Mumbai ODI: India thrash Windies by 224 runs, lead series 2-1

Mumbai, Oct 29 (IBNS): Riding on centuries by Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu along with a superb bowling performance, India thrashed Windies in the second One Day International (ODI) match by 224 runs at Brabourne Stadium here on Monday.

Chasing a mammoth target of 378, Windies were bowled out for 153 in 36.2 overs. Skipper Jason Holder was the top scorer for the visitors with 54-run knock.

Rohit hit 162 runs while Ambati added 100 runs with their willows as India completely dominated over their opponents in their innings.

Rohit hit 20 boundaries and four sixes in the knock.

Ambati hammered eight boundaries and four sixes in the 81-ball knock.

After the win, India took 2-1 lead in the five-match ODI series.
