London, July 2 (IBNS); British Tennis star Andy Murray on Sunday said he is fit to play the Wimbledon.

He was reportedly struggling with a hip injury.

"I'll be fine to play the event and play seven matches," he was quoted as saying by BBC.

He had won the Wimbledon men's singles title in 2016.

He said: "If necessary, I can take some anti-inflammatories if my hip flares up. Hopefully that's not the case."

Apart from missing practice days, the star Tennis player cancelled two exhibition matches last week.
