Pasari, Ghosh win Kolkata leg of Audi quattro Cup 2015

Kolkata, Jan 21 (IBNS): The duo of CK Pasari and Gaurav Ghosh won the Kolkata leg, the second event of the Audi Quattro Cup 2015 season and qualified for the National final.

In the qualifying round held at Royal Calcutta Golf Club here on Wednesday, Pasari and Ghosh combined to score 38 Stableford points and pushed the duo of Subroto Kundu and Yash Rastogi to the second spot, who ended up with 36 points. The Kolkata leg of the multi-city event was hosted by Audi Kolkata.

Vinod Chamaria and Qummar Siddiq took the second runners up spot with 35 points. The event was played on the Single Peoria Handicap system to determine the team handicap for the day through six hidden holes.

The mecca of Indian golf was abuzz with activity on a weekday as a star- studded field including 42 Audi owners teed off.  A friendly format, top of the line hospitality, great prizes and some wonderful weather made it an incredible concoction, which no player could afford to miss.

In the various skills competitions held alongside the main event, OP Killa won the ‘Straightest Drive’ while Prasan Lohia won the ‘Closest to the Pin’ and Joydeep Mukherjee took home the ‘Longest Drive’ competition.

The Audi quattro Cup, celebrating its Silver Jubilee this season, has become one of the most distinguished amateur golf tournaments around the world bringing together over 85000 golfers from 54 countries. The 8th season of the Indian edition will see it travel to 13 other cities and see the participation of over 1500 golfers.

Audi Mumbai South will host the next leg at the Willingdon Golf Course on January 23.
