RCB thrash RR by 71 runs

Pune, May 20 (IBNS): Escalating chances of reaching the final, Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday crushed Rajasthan Royals by 71 runs in Eliminator clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) here.


Posting 180 runs fr the loss of four wickets, RCB bowlers bowled out Rajasthan for 109 runs.

Ajinkya Rahane top scored for the side with his 42 runs. Apart from him, the remaining of batsmen failed to contribute with their willows in the match.

Harshal Patel took two wickets by giving way 15 runs in for RCB.


AB de Villiers hammered 66 and Mandeep Singh scored unbeaten 54 runs to post a competitive 180 runs on the scorecard.

The side will now face Chennai Super Kings.
