Rohit Sharma completes 5000 runs in ODI

Sydney, Jan 23 (IBNS): Indian opener Rohit Sharma completed 5000 runs in ODIs during the fifth match of the series against Australia here on Saturday.

Playing 148 matches, Sharma has scored 5008 runs in his ODI career so far.

Rohit scored a crucial 99 runs innings which helped India clinch a consolation victory against Australia in the fifth match of the series.

He was also adjudged the Man of the Series.

After Australia posted 330 for seven on the scorecard, it was Rohit and Manish Pandey (104*) who helped India reach 331 runs by losing four wickets.

Australia won the series 4-1.
