Dubai, Sept 29 (IBNS): Asia Cup winning Indian skipper Rohit Sharma on Friday said he is ready for full-time captaincy.

"Definitely. We have just won and so I am going to be ready (for captaincy)," Sharma told reporters after the match.

'Whenever the opportunity comes I am going to be ready for it," he said.

Sharma captained the Indian squad in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli.

Kohli was rested for the Asia Cup.

In a last-ball thriller, India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets to win the Asia Cup title.
