Nagpur/IBNS: Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma on Friday slammed his ninth Test hundred in the first Test against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy here on Friday.

After Australia were bundled out for 177 on the first day, India were marching strong on day two until they lost a few wickets in quick succession.

Though India lost Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav cheaply, Rohit kept his calm and finished his 100.

A fiery spin bowling led by Ravindra Jadeja (5/47) bundled out Australia for just 177 on Thursday.
