Kochi, May 10 (IBNS): Ex-Indian pacer S Sreesanth, who had played a crucial role in India's T20 World Cup victory in 2007, has become father to a baby girl.

The girl was born a day before the Mother's Day.

Speaking about the condition of the baby and his wife Bhuveneshwari Kumari , he had earlier tweeted: "Thanks a lot for all the wishes ..Nd prayers..my sweet Nd beautiful baby Nd my love her mother is fine."

Sreesanth and Kumari has tied the knot in 2013.

Sreesanth's cricket career was hit badly after he was banned for life from playing cricket by the BCCI, for his involvement in spot-fixing in the 2013 IPL season.

He has played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20 Internationals for India.
