Saúl Ñíguez extend contract with Atlético de Madrid til 2026

Madrid, July 1 (IBNS): Football club Atlético de Madrid‏ on Saturday announced it has extended contract with footballer Saúl Ñíguez till 2026.

The footballer extended his contract for five new seasons.

"The 22 years old homegrown player has signed a new contract with our club, which now extends until June 30th, 2026," read the club website.

Saúl Ñíguez was quoted as saying by the club website: "I am very happy because at Atleti we are a family and there is no better place to be.”

“I will work my full potential on the field as always to pay back the trust that the club is giving to me. I’d like to thank all my teammates and the coaching staff for their help day by day so that I can be the player I am today," he said.

He had joined the club Academy in 2007.
