New Delhi, Jan 15 (IBNS): Indian batting icon Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday met boxer Sarita Devi who had triggered a controversy by not accepting her Asian Games bronze medal at the podium during the sporting event last year.

Tendulkar said he could see a hunger for action in the boxer's eyes.

"Met Sarita Devi. Could see the hunger for action in her eyes," the former Indian skipper tweeted.

"Wished her success and wrote a message. Enjoy the game and always give your best," he said.

Devi is currently  serving a one-year ban imposed on her by the International Boxing Association (AIBA).
