Saina officially becomes no. 1 player in the world

New York, Apr 2 (IBNS): Indian Badminton star Saina Nehwal has now officially become the number one player in the world as the Badminton World Federation (BWF) released the latest rankings list on Thursday.

Nehwal has become the first woman badminton player from India to reach the top spot.

An elated Nehwal tweeted: "Officially world number 1 today in the BWF rankings very very very very very very happy thank u all for the support."

Spain's Carolina Marín is standing on the second spot in the list.
