Mohali, Apr 5 (IBNS): Former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag has welcomed Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma to the Kings Xi Punjab side.

"Welcoming the Hairy&Slightly distorted Burj Khalifa @ImIshant to the @lionsdenkxip family.Plz Welcome him by making such a face wherever u r," Sehwag tweeted.

Ishant went unsold in the IPL auction.

Sehwag, welcoming Ishant, made reference to the strange faces the pacer had made at Australian batsmen Matt Renshaw and Steve Smith during the second Test match between India and Australia.

The photo of the face, he had made during the match to tease the opposition cricketers, had inspired several memes.

Ishant replied to Sehwag's tweet and said: "Thanks paaji !!! And first you have to make the same expression tomorrow in the practice session."

In the latest edition of the IPL, Kings will start their campaign against Rising Pune Supergiant on Apr 8.
