Smith smashes century as Australia score 181/1 after 33 overs

Sydney, Mar 26 (IBNS): Australian batsman Steve Smith hit century in the crucial semi-final clash of the World Cup against India here on Thursday.

Smith smashed Mohammed Shami  for a six and then a boundary to reach his century.

He has hammered 10 boundaries and two sixes in his 89-ball knock.

Australia are 181 for the loss of a wicket after 33 overs.

India have picked up the wicket of David Warner (12) so far. Umesh Yadav had picked up his wicket.

Australia earlier won the toss and opted to bat first in the match.
