Sports personalities wish nation on Diwali

Mumbai, Oct 19 (IBNS): Sports personalities on Thursday wished the nation as the country is celebrating Diwali.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli urged his fans to celebrate the festival responsibly.

"Aap sabhi ko Diwali ki शुभकामनाएं! May you all have a good festival. Stay safe and blessed #HappyDiwali," Indian iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar tweeted.

Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara posted: "May the festival of lights brighten up your life with beauty, love & joy. Wishing you a very #HappyDiwali."

Former Indian skipper Anil Kumble wished the nation and said: "Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous Deepavali!"

All rounder Hardik Pandya said: "Wish you all a happy, prosperous and peaceful Diwali! ."

Apart from Indian players, even Australian vice-captain David Warner wished Indians and said: "Happy Diwali to my friends and fans in India. https://www.instagram.com/p/BaYuCbmHIuZ/ ."

Former cricketer Virender Sehwag posted: "RT if this year you will celebrate Diwali extra dhoom dhaam se."

Opener Shikhar Dhawan said :"Wish you a very Happy & safe Diwali #HappyDiwali."

Indian football coach Stephen Constantine‏ greeted : "Happy Diwali to all my Indian friends where ever you maybe."

Indian Tennis star Rohan Bopanna remarked: "RBTA wishes you all a Happy Diwali #rohanbopannatennisacademy #bangalore #WorkHard."

Badminton Icon Saina Nehwl wished the nation by posting :"Wish u all a very Happy Diwali ."
