T20 WC: Suryakumar Yadav smashes gritty 68 to help India post 133 runs against South Africa after batting collapse

Perth: Indian batsmen struggled and Suryakumar Yadav (68) remained the only shining spot as the 'Men in Blue' scored 133 runs for the loss of nine wickets in a Super 12 stage clash of the T20 World Cup against South Africa on Sunday.

India made a strong start with KL Rahul (9) and Rohit Sharma (15) adding some quick runs before departing.

Virat Kohli, who hammered unbeaten 82 runs against Pakistan and remained the key attraction of the high-voltage game, contributed just 12 runs with the willow.

Yadav held the fort strong at the other end when Indians kept losing wickets at regular intervals and contributed 68 much needed runs.

He hit six boundaries and three sixes in his knock.

Earlier, skipper Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first.

Lungi Ngidi picked up  four wickets and Wayne Parnell took three wickets to destroy the Indian batting lineup.
