Sydney, Nov 28 (IBNS): A video of a white boy attacking a Syrian refugee in school has gone viral on the social media and this clip even left Australian spin legend Shane Warne feel 'disgusted'.

He said the school should be a safe place for all students.

"Absolutely disgusting. Do something about this urgently. School should be a safe place away from home for all boys and girls !!," Warne tweeted.

As per DailyMail report, the distressing video filmed at Almondbury Community School in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, shows an attacker telling his victim 'I'll drown you' before he launched into the sickening attack.

As per the newspaper report, the clip has provoked outrage across Britain and the 15-year-old boy and his family have been met with a huge outpouring of support from members of the public.

Speaking on the incident, West Yorkshire Police said in a statement: "Regarding the assault on a 15-year-old youth in Almondbury, which featured in a video posted on social media yesterday and has been widely reported in the media, a 16-year-old youth has been interviewed and reported for summons, for an offence of assault. He will appear at Youth Court in due course."

The incident occurred on 25 October this year and has been subject to thorough investigation since it was reported to us the day after.

"The victim and his family are receiving ongoing support from police and other agencies," the statement said.

The Daily Mail report, the family is believed to have fled from the Syrian city of Homs which was under siege from May 2011 to 2014 following protests against dictator Bashar al-Assad.
