Virat Kohli may have hurt his finger ahead of India's first match against South Africa
Southampton, June 2 (IBNS): As India is gearing up for the World Cup match against South Africa, skipper Virat Kohli hurt his finger during the training session at Southampton on Saturday, media reports said.
India will play their first World Cup match against South Africa on June 5.
India physiotherapist Patrick Farhart spent a considerable amount of time attending Kohli’s injured right thumb during the training session on Saturday. He first used the magic spray before taping his thumb up, reported Hindustan Times.
It is still not clear when Kohli hurt his finger.
According to the newspaper report, at the end of India’s training session, Kohli was seen walking off with his thumb dipped in a glass full of ice.
The BCCI has not commented on the issue so far.
India is participating in the World Cup for the first time under the leadership of Kohli.
