'We need to cope with it': Hardik Pandya over T20 World Cup 'disappointment' ahead of NZ series

India's stand-in captain Hardik Pandya on Wednesday exuded confidence in a bounce back days after the team crashed out of the T20 World Cup following a humiliating defeat against England in the semi final.

India will take on New Zealand under Pandya's captaincy in three T20I matches in absence of senior players including skipper Rohit Sharma.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Pandya said as quoted by media, "Yes, we all know there is disappointment of the World Cup but we are professionals and we need to cope with it.

"How we cope with our success we cope with our failures and move forward and look forward to getting better and rectifying our mistakes."

"The road map starts now. But it’s too fresh right now. We have a lot of time so we will sit down and have conversations on those grounds," he added.

Pandya and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson on Wednesday unveiled the T20I series trophy.

The three T20I matches will be played on Nov 18, 20 and 22.
