WI series: Shakib Al Hasan returns to Bangladesh squad

Dhaka, Nov 17 (IBNS): Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan returned to the national side from injury and will lead the team in the upcoming first Test against West Indies.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announces the squad for the first Test of the two-match series against the West Indies.

The first Test starts in Chattogram on Nov 22.

Bangladesh selectors named a 13-men squad for the tournament.

Shakib returned to the national side after undergoing surgery on his left little finger.

The injury was aggravated during the 2018 Asia Cup which was held earlier this year. 

The skipper missed Bangladesh's final two games of the competition.

In the first game against Pakistan, Bangladesh won the crucial Super Four clash while they were defeated in the final by India.

He also missed the home series against Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh squad:

Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Soumya Sarker, Imrul Kayes, Md Mithun, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Ariful Haque,  Mahmud Ullah, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Taijul Islam, Syed Khaled Ahmed, Naeem Hasan.
