Wimbledon: Serena Williams defeats Camila Giorgi to reach semis
London, July 11 (IBNS): US Tennis star Serena Williams on Tuesday reached the semi-finals fo the women's singles event of the Wimbledon here.
She defeated hard-hitting Italian Camila Giorgi to reach the next round of the tournament.
Serena overcame initial jolts to recover in the match.
Serena defeated her opponent 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the match.
She will now face 13th seed Julia Gorges in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The match will be played on Thursday.
