World Cup Final: Messi, Di Maria score as Argentina go 2-0 up against France

Doha: Argentina made a strong start to the World Cup final by scoring two goals to go 2-0 up against France in the final of the Qatar World Cup.

Argentina's hero Lionel Messi converted a penalty to help his squad go 1-0 up against France in the final of the iconic Qatar World Cup here on Sunday.

Messi scored the goal in the 23rd minute.

In the 36th minute of the game, Di Maria scored a charismatic goal to leave his squad 2-0 up against the current champions.

France had defeated Croatia in the final of the 2018 edition to lift the World Cup.
