Bengaluru, Apr 15 (IBNS) Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) announced the commencement of Fire Prevention Week at the airport on Friday.

The week-long campaign is conducted to raise awareness about fire safety.

The theme for this year has been fixed as “Prevent Fire Accidents, Promote Nation’s Development.”

As part of the commemoration, BIAL will conduct awareness campaigns throughout the week.

These will include training activities to equip taxi drivers, loaders and other employees at airport to operate basic firefighting appliances.

These training exercises have been conducted at KIAB since the airport’s opening in 2008.
