Afghanistan: Female MP survives suicide car bombing

Kabul, Nov 16 (IBNS): A female Afghan politician was injured while three bystanders were killed in a car suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan's Kabul city on Sunday,media reports said.

The attack left several others injured.

The politician was identified as  Wolesi Jirga member Shukria Barakzai.

Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi tweeted: "Minister of interior met MP Barekzai she is fine and suffers small injuries. Reports of her family killed in this attack are not true."

Later updating on the incident, he said: "Updates on today's attack on Darulaman road causalities: 3 people martyred and 22 people injured."
