Afghanistan: Road mishap in Takhar leaves 1 person dead

A minibus crashed into a ravine in Afghanistan's Takhar on Monday which left at least one person dead and 18 others hurt, media reports said.

According to provincial police spokesperson Abdul Mubin Safi, the deadly vehicle accident occurred in the Rustaq district before noon when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to reckless driving, reports Khaama Press.

As a result, the bus fell into a ravine, killing one person on the spot and injuring 18 others, including three children and a woman.

The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment.
