‘Another little Epic Fury’: Trump’s chilling warning to Iran as fresh US strikes loom
Washington DC/IBNS: US President Donald Trump has threatened to launch fresh strikes on Iran, invoking ‘Operation Epic Fury’, the military campaign launched by the United States and Israel against Tehran in February this year, media reports said.
Addressing a rally in Florida on Friday, Trump referred to the operation while delivering a message to the Iranian leadership.
“We may do another little Epic Fury, or they'll agree,” Trump said.
“If they're smart, they'll just say, ‘Let's get down to business.’ But, you know, I doubt they'll do that because perhaps they're not smart,” he added.

Trump's remarks came after a US diplomat suggested that fresh strikes against Iran could be launched soon.
“Could there be a strike this weekend? Absolutely. The president is very clear. He's open and available and accessible to a deal. And we've been at the table for months and months and months,” US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack said in an interview.
However, Trump had earlier said he was unaware of any such plans.

What is Operation Epic Fury?
Operation Epic Fury is the name given by the US military to its major military campaign against Iran, launched on February 28, 2026, under Trump. Israel also carried out strikes against Iran as part of the wider military campaign.
Washington presented the operation as an effort to weaken Iran's military capabilities and address what it described as threats posed by the country's nuclear and missile programmes.

What were the main targets?
According to the US military and the White House, the operation targeted several key components of Iran's military infrastructure.
These included facilities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), missile and drone launch sites, air defence systems, military airfields and naval capabilities.
The strikes were intended to reduce Iran's ability to conduct military operations and respond to attacks.
