Bangladesh: Two JMB members jailed over Hussaini Dalan bombing before Tazia procession

Dhaka: A Bangladesh court on Tuesday  sentenced two members of the banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to different prison terms in a case filed over the bomb blasts at Hussaini Dalan in 2015.

Judge Mojibur Rahman of the Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal gave Arman a 10-year and Kabir Hossain alias Rashed a seven-year prison sentence on Tuesday, reports Dhaka Tribune.

Both the convicts were also fined Tk10,000 each, failure to pay which would result in another six months’ rigorous imprisonment.

The court also acquitted six other accused in the case. They are Rubel Islam, Abu Sayeed, Hafez Ahsan Ullah Masud, Shah Jalal, Omar Faruk and Chan Miah—all of whom are members of JMB, reports Dhaka Tribune.

In a juvenile court, two othe accused  Masud Rana and Jahid Hasan are currently being tried.
