Gunmen abduct British man, Filipino wife in southern Philippines

Manila (Xinhua/UNI) Unidentified gunmen on Friday evening abducted a British and his Filipino wife in Zamboanga del Sur province in the southern Philippines.

Local police said the kidnapping took place around 1850 hrs at a beach resort in Tukuran town owned by the victims.

The victims were identified as Allan Hyrons, a British national, and his wife Wilma Hyrons.

Police reported that the victims were forcibly taken to two waiting motorboats which fled into two directions, one towards the open seas of Yllana Bay and another towards Sultan Naga Dimappro in Lanao del Norte province.


Police are investigating the incident.
