Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu visits Oman

Jerusalem, Oct 27 (IBNS): Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu visited Oman on Friday and met the Sultan of the nation Qaboos Ben Sa'id.

Netanyahu posted an image of the visit on his Twitter page.

"I returned to Israel today at the end of an official political visit to Oman, where I met with the ruler of Oman, Sultan Qaboos Ben Sa'id. My wife and I were invited to visit by the ruler of Oman, Sultan Qaboos Ben Sa'id, after prolonged contacts between the two countries. It is the first official encounter in this level since the year 1996," the PM tweeted.

He also tweeted an image of his interaction with the Sultan.

In another tweet, he said: "The visit is a significant step in implementing the policy that I have outlined to tighten ties with the region's countries, while leveraging Israel's benefits with confidence, technology and economy."
