Peshawar, Dec 16 (IBNS) The Pakistani Army on Tuesday said the militants, who had attacked a school in Pakistan and killed more than 100 children, had no intentions of taking hostages.

DG ISPR Asim Bajwa  said the militants aimed at killing innocent kids.

“Their sole purpose, it seems, was to kill those innocent kids. That's what they did,” he was quoted as saying by Dawn News.

Bajwa said 1099 children were registered at the school and 960 people have been rescued from the institution.

A day-long brutality by six militants at the Army Public School and College in Peshawar city
has killed 141 people including 132 children and 9 staff members of the school.

According to reports, six estimated terrorists stormed into the school and targetted the children.

All of them have been gunned down by the security forces, Pakistan Police confirmed.
