Mongolia President takes off jacket, bench-presses 100 kg: Viral video leaves internet stunned
Ulaanbaatar/IBNS: Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh has left social media users stunned after a video showed him bench-pressing an impressive weight during a visit to a military unit.
In the viral video, the 58-year-old President is seen taking off his jacket before bench-pressing 100 kg for 20 repetitions, showcasing his remarkable physical fitness.
After completing the set, Khürelsükh shook hands with people around him before putting his jacket back on.

Who is Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh?
Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, 58, is the sixth President of Mongolia and has held the office since June 2021.
He previously served as Mongolia's Prime Minister from 2017 to 2021 and has held several senior government positions.
Born in Ulaanbaatar on June 14, 1968, Khürelsükh studied at the National University of Mongolia and the Defense University. He served in the Mongolian People's Army from 1985 to 1990, eventually reaching the rank of colonel.
From Prime Minister to President
Before becoming president, Khürelsükh served as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Emergency Situations and Minister for Professional Inspection.
He also led the Mongolian People's Party, becoming its chairman in 2017.
Khürelsükh was elected president in 2021 and assumed office in June that year.
A president with a fitness-focused image
Beyond politics, Khürelsükh has cultivated an unusual public image.
He has a background in bodybuilding and martial arts, plays guitar in a rock band called Pals, and is a motorcycle enthusiast who founded a Harley-Davidson fan club in Mongolia.
His military background and interest in fitness have now drawn renewed attention following the viral bench-pressing video, with social media users reacting to the president's display of strength at the age of 58.
