Pakistan: 18 suicide attacks reported in past seven months

A recent report has shown Pakistan witnessed 18 suicide attacks in the past seven months, leaving over 200 people dead.

The report said during the same period 450 people were hurt.

This alarming figure has surpassed the total number of suicide attacks recorded in the entirety of 2022, which stood at 15. These are the findings of the report, compiled by a think tank the Pak­is­tan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), released on Monday, reports Dawn News.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province region remained the most severely affected region, as per the report.

The nine attacks in the area claimed around 60 lives, while over 150 others sustained injuries, the report said.
