Pakistan: 6 killed in blast

Islamabad, Oct 4 (IBNS): A blast in a passenger bus left six people dead and several others injured in Pakistan's Kohat town on Saturday, media reports said.

"Miscreants had planted a bomb near the bus stand at Peshawar Chowk in Kohat. The bodies and injured were shifted to a hospital," Geo News reported quoting police.

"The passenger van was completely destroyed in the blast while police said five kilograms of explosives were used," the Pakistani news channel said.

The area was cordoned off following the blast.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
