Senior commander of armed Taliban killed in Logar province

Kabul, Aug 8 (IBNS):  A senior commander of armed Taliban named Najibullah known as Hemat was killed with his two accomplices during overnight operation, Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior said on Wednesday.

The operation was carried out by General Command of Police Special Units in Dado Khil village, Mohammad Agha district, eastern Logar province.

Najibullah was involved in collecting information about activities and movement of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces and as well as in planning and coordinating suicide attacks, destructive and terrorist activities in Mohammad Agha.

No GCPSU member and civilian was harmed during the operation.
