As many as 11 Chinese military aircraft and five naval vessels were recently tracked around Taiwan between Monday and Tuesday, the country's Ministry of National Defence said.

The Ministry tweeted: "11 PLA aircraft and 5 PLAN vessels around Taiwan were detected by 6 a.m.(UTC+8) today. R.O.C. Armed Forces have monitored the situation and tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems to respond these activities."

In another tweet, the Ministry said: "2 of the detected aircraft (BZK-005 UAV RECCE*1, Z-9 ASW*1) had crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait or entered southeast ADIZ."

Of the 11 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, one BZK-005 reconnaissance drone crossed the Taiwan Strait median line in the southwest corner of Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ), according to the MND. Meanwhile, a Harbin Z-9 anti-submarine warfare helicopter entered the southeast sector of the ADIZ, reports Taiwan News.

Meanwhile, Taiwan sent aircraft, naval ships, and used land-based missile systems to monitor PLA activity.
