Taliban attack leaves seven soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Kabul/IBNS: A Taliban attack on a check post in Dawlat Abad district of Balkh province in Afghanistan on Tuesday left at least seven soldiers killed, media reports said.

Six other soldiers including three NDS employees were wounded in the attack, the country's Defence Ministry said as reported by Tolo News.

The checkpoint was manned by both the Afghan army and the National Directorate of Security (NDS), reported Tolo News.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 4.30 am.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
