US drone strike kills 6 militants

Peshawar, Dec 2 (IBNS): A US drone strike has killed at least six suspected militants in Renay-Parchao area of Afghanistan bordering Khyber Agency, media reports said on Tuesday.

"Pakistani intelligence sources said that the US drone fired two missiles targeting militants in two pick-up trucks, destroying them completely," Dawn News reported.

Scores of others were also injured in the drone attack, they told the newspaper.

"The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained, but sources said that the dead included "some key militants belonging to the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Swat chapter'," the newspaper reported.
