A non-local man was found dead in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian region, media reports said on Friday.

According to reports, two bullet injuries were found in his body.

The influencer was identified as Ashok Chauhan.

His body was reportedly recovered from the roadside.

Police confirmed that the victim, who worked as a corn seller in the region, had sustained multiple injuries to his torso and face, reported The Kashmiriyat.

Security forces have been deployed at the spot.

An investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the death.

In February, two workers from Punjab were shot dead by militants in the Shaheed Gunj area of Srinagar, reported UNI news agency.
