Delhi CM mourns Kolkata flyover tragedy

New Delhi, Mar 31 (IBNS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday mourned the loss of lives in the Kolkata flyover tragedy and called it a 'tragic' incident.

More than 10 people were reported dead, while plenty sustained injuries as the incomplete Vivekananda flyover collapsed suddenly.

Kejriwal said, "V sad to hear the tragedy in Kolkatta. My prayers with victims n their families."

According to reports, a part of under-construction Vivekananda Flyover suddenly collapsed on the crossing of Rabindra Sarani and Vivekananda Road at around 12:30 pm.

According to locals, several vehicles and many people were trapped under the collapsed flyover.

Rescue officials,which include NDRF officials , are currently conducting rescue operations at the spot of the mishap.

The injured people have been rushed to hospital.
