J&K: Four civilians, two Army jawans injured in Anantnag grenade attack

Srinagar, Mar 26 (IBNS): Militants on Saturday lobbed hand grenade on police station in Bijbehara area of Islamabad (Anantnag) district in south Kashmir.

According to eyewitnesses, militants lobbed a grenade towards police station exploded with a big bang which left four persons, including two Army Jawans, injured.

Reports also said, there were reports of an exchange of gunfire near the police station located on Srinagar-Jammu highway.

The injured civilians has been shifted to Bijbehara Sub-district hospital for treatment.

The injured army men have been shifted to Army Base Hospital in Srinagar for treatment.

Soon after the attack, police and CRPF contingents rushed to the area and cordoned off whole area.
