J&K road mishap kills 2

Jammu, Mar 17 (IBNS) Two persons were killed while six others were injured on Thursday when a vehicle in which they were traveling skidded off the road and fell into a gorge on Srinagar-Jammu highway, police said.

An official said that a Tata Sumo on way to Jammu from Kashmir met with the accident near Gangroo in Ramsoo and fell into Bishlari nallah.

A senior police official said eight people were onboard the vehicle when the accident took place.

He further said one person died on spot  while another six persons is trapped in the river.

“We are on job along with the Army to find other missing persons from the river. Heavy rains halted our search operation,” said a police officer.
