Rahul Gandhi condoles NIA officer's death

New Delhi, Apr 5 (IBNS) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday condoled the death of NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed, who was killed around midnight, on Saturday.

Gandhi wrote on Twitter: "Brutal murder of NIA officer Tanzil Ahmad investigating key terror cases including Pathankot is extremely shocking."

"My heartfelt condolences to his family. Those responsible for his murder must be brought to justice," another tweet read.

Ahmed was returning from a weeding along with his wife and two kids when the attack took place.

Reports sated that his body bore 22 bullets injuries as he succumbed to it, while his wife sustained injuries and is admitted in a hospital.

Ahmed had handled several cases of Indian Mujahideen (IM) and was instrumental in the arrest of IM chief Yasin Bhatkal.
