Tamil Nadu : Woman cop assaults husband's partner

Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Mar 29 (IBNS) Furious over her husband's 'illicit' relationship with another woman, a police constable allegedly assaulted her and ransacked her house at Vellakkal in the district, reports said.

Police  have registered cases against constable Sumathi and five others, including her colleagues, and were searching for them. 

The woman, whose house was attacked  suffered head injuries and had been hospitalised..

Sumathi, attached to the Armed Police wing in Madurai, came to know about the illegal affair of her husband and along with her colleagues and some others barged into the house of the woman on Monday night.

They smashed all the household goods besides assaulting the woman on her head.
