Mumbai, Sept 19 (IBNS) The voice of Sonakshi Sinha, Katrina Kaif, Asin, Kareena Kapoor Khan Tulsi Kumar is one of the voices for the leading ladies in Bollywood.

But it was her father Shri Gulshan Kumar who made her realize that she has a beautiful voice and she should train herself to become a singer.

Tulsi was 7 years old, when T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar realized her talent of singing and made her train to become a singer later.

Tulsi said, “I owe my father whatever and wherever I have reached in my life. I used to hum songs while watching TV as a kid and when Papa heard me he liked my tonal quality and started my light classical music training when I was 7. I initially was trained in Suresh Wadkarji’s academy. As I entered the music industry and where I see myself today I feel it is Papa’s blessings and I am living his dream.”

So on the occasion of 30 years to T-Series where a special concert is conceptualized for Gulshan Kumar, Tulsi has chosen this platform to thank her dad for the love and his guidance to what she has become today.

The song titled ‘Mere Papa’ will be first of its kind which is a dedication her father who always considered Tulsi has his favourite kid.

A slow soft number is penned by Manoj Muntashir and composed by Jeet Ganguli. When Tulsi decided on making a special song for her father, her brother Bhushan Kumar asked Manoj Muntashir to pen some lines for the same, which both Tulsi and Bhushan Kumar loved and Jeet Ganguli came on board to complete this team.

Speaking about the song, Tulsi said, “The song is very close to my heart. The song "Mere Papa" is Bhai's (Bhushan Kumar) , my sister Khushali's and my dedication to Papa on a day where we are celebrating  Papa’s successful journeyin the field of music. When I met Jeet Da and Manoj Muntashir Ji to share the idea on making this song, I told them about my feelings , emotions attached and the kind of relationship I shared with papa ; which they completely understood n penned n composed such a beautiful Heart touching melody. When I heard the melody it instantly touched me. This song has shaped up in such a way that every father and child  will be able to relate to it universally.”

The song will be performed live at the concert ‘Suron ke Rang, Colors Ke Sang – Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar’ on Sept 22 which will be aired soon on COLORS.
