Yeh Hai Bakrapur's election anthem unleashed
This election 2014 anthem has been specially composed by Agnee. The vocals have been rendered by the popular Indian Ocean singers Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam and also singer-actor Raghu Ram, along with Mohan from Agnee.
Making this song special are the lyrics penned by writer, director and lyricist Abaas Tyrewala.
With upbeat music by Koco and Aditya from Agnee, the song is a message for all Indians who refuse to vote, delivered in a fun manner.
It is a playful video that talks about the political system of the county. The creators of this addictive track are seen having a blast, enjoying themselves immensely, flaunting their uninhibited side and crazy moves while recording the song.
The video is peppered with scenes from the movie showing Shahrukh the goat and the other characters, making it a visual treat for the fans.
The lyrics of the song convey the gravity of the existing political situation in a very tongue in cheek fashion, with lines like “Bandar Khojay Adrak Mein Swaad Democracy Ka” and “Gehoon ki Yaari Ho Gayi Hai Chakki Se, Murgi Bhi Sochay Woh Zinda Lautegi Kentucky Se”.
A social satire, 'Yeh hai Bakrapur' claimes to be a rollercoaster ride for viewers and a treat for lovers of good cinema and comedy.
The story revolves around the Qureshi family and their pet goat Shahrukh, who acquires rock star status in his village and beyond, with people fighting for a piece of the live goat.
'Yeh hai Bakrapur' is written and directed by Janaki Vishwanathan, known for her National Award winning film 'Kutty' in Tamil, and produced by Ramesh Sriivatsava Aruunachalam. The film is slated to release on May 9.
